Easy-to-install web application
Service Definition can be fully implemented in less than 5 minutes. As soon as it's installed, employees can access the application using any standard web browser, and administrators can create, edit and publish documentation instantly.

Highly customizable and easy to use
New procedures can be created in minutes, and text can even be copied and pasted from other sources, such as Microsoft Word. No prior technical knowledge or training is required.

Ideal for use in consulting projects
Service Definition was designed to be used by consultants to document their customer's processes. It offers many advantages over Word-based documentation and once the project has completed, the web-based documentation can be published in the customer's site, to be used as a reference guide or for training purposes. Furthermore, the Backup and Restore feature allows consultants to easily copy the documentation  from one installation to another; in this way the consultant can create his own "Service Definition" and offer it to his customers, increasing the value of the project without increasing the cost.

Ideal for use as Intranet
Service Definition can be also used as an Intranet system for publishing and sharing your organization's policies, procedures, files and other information.

Full feature set
The Basic Edition of Service Definition includes  nearly all of the features of the paid version, except that it does not include any documentation templates. It also does not include the Glossary, nor the Search and Replace features. All ofther features that are available in the paid version are available in the Basic Edition.

Why is it free?
Service Definition is simply a pre-configured CMS (Content Management System) that allows you to store and edit documentation quickly and easily. It does not contain our propietary ITIL documentation templates.

System Requirements

Service Definition is a 100% web application that includes its own web service and database. It can be installed in minutes, on any 32-bit or 64-bit Windows operating system (Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Server 2008) with a minimum of 1 GB RAM and 1 GB of free space.
